Queensland School-Based Traineeship

In Queensland the Department of Education and Training has approved horseridingcoach.com as the preferred provider for the Certificate III in Sport Coaching Equestrian as a school-based traineeship through the User Choice funding program.
This means that you can enrol and study the course while you are in high school as part of your Certificate of Education and the government pays for the course costs.
However, as this is linked to a traineeship, you will need to find an employer who will provide you with one day a week paid work (7 ½ hours per week). In reality it is not always easy to find riding centres or horse related employers who will take on young trainees. Therefore the government is prepared to also support the employers for our trainees in the form of employer bonuses.
If you wish to participate in this traineeship scheme you need to:
- Discuss this with your parents
- Discuss this with your school
- Find an employer willing to take you on for one day per week
- Contact your local Apprenticeship Centre
- Sign up for the apprenticeship and register as a student with horseridingcoach.com
- Once all formalities have been finalised we work out a training plan and send you the texts in print and the DVDs
Follow your dream. For students with experience most of the horse management practical tasks can be evidenced. If you already have qualifications in horse management we will recognise this and you don’t have to do this again.
The course includes unlimited email or telephone support.

We are never too busy to talk to you.
