Introduction to the mini courses and short courses
The Mini and Short courses are for the “Curious and Inquisitive Minds”.
You can be curious how things work because you do not have access to a riding instructor and like to teach yourself.
You could be curious because you do have lesson but explanations are interrupted by the horse moving or other distractions. These mini and short can be done away from the horse and therefore have your full attention.
I often like to teach in a lecture room. That way there is a minimum of interruptions.
You could be curious because you are a parent, partner or friend of a horse riderwho likes to help and you need to know not only how it works but also what to look for.
Let’s not forget the many volunteers, who assist with Riding for Disabled, help at competitions and at the pony club or adult riding club. Volunteers also need to have a good basic understanding of horses to be safe.

Because of our extensive experience of working with people who may hear an explanation for the first time, you will find that our explanations are easy to understand and will make sense, even to people who have limited or even no riding experience.
You could say that if you help your children or friends with the aid of these mini courses you will become a “Mini Riding Instructor” yourself who actually knows what to look for.
We have the following items available (all stacked with easy to understand information):
- DVDs that show horse behaviour and basic horse riding techniques
- Mini Courses and Short Courses that explain riding and lungeing techniques
- Courses that explain safe behaviour around horses and horse mastership

For both sections you can see the title on the right. Click on them for further information.
Why not try a Mini Course. The Paces and Biomechanics of the Movement of the Horse” is only $15.00 plus postage.
There is also a free lesson on grooming to show you how detailed our courses are. The grooming course has video and interactive questioning for you to check if you “got it all”.
